Why do I receive emails from GiveMN?

You receive two basic types of emails from GiveMN.

1. Transaction-based emails. Whenever you make a donation or action on our website (such as creating a fundraising page), our system sends you an email to confirm that action. Because we must issue receipts for tax-deduction purposes, you may not unsubscribe from these emails, but they are only sent after you take a specific action on GiveMN.org.

2. Information emails. We typically send one email per month to you to share the latest information about the awesome things happening on our website, news about GiveMN and Give to the Max Day, news about nonprofits and schools in Minnesota, and reminders about how to access information through your donor profile. We think these are helpful and don’t send them out often, but you may always unsubscribe at the bottom of any email.
